I am pretty proud right now of Miss Maggie...

She started pulling fur a few days ago and i was thinking she was maybe being nuts since she isnt due yet.

Lo and behold i go and check this morning...a bit later than usual. and she had 11 kits. 4 of the biggest were DOA when i got to them and she had kicked them to the end of the nestbox.

I brought the other 7 inside...no full bellys though which worrys me but me and mags are both new to this and i am letting her lead. 2 are chilled so been working on them.

Still not sure if i will keep them in or out with her..but with the weather going from 60F to 13F every other day i think i will try keeping them in for now. hopefully she doesnt get spoiled with that and expect me to bring in every litter haha

__________ Sun Feb 17, 2013 11:17 am __________

Mom (old pic)

Thanks!! They got chilled and my MIL came over and we lost two so now mom and kits are inside.

I let the other doe roam while i cleaned the shed and it got mommas all agitated and she jumped on them. ugh, those little baby bunny screams were awful. So their now inside but still not pot bellies but a couple had milk bands.

hoping this isnt gonna be one of those failed first time things but i know not to have to high expectations since it is her first
