    Mystery Bunnies!!!

As creepy as this may sound, someone may have known you had rabbits and abandoned the two in your colony, hoping for you to take care of them.

    Clumpy Rabbit Poo?

This is the first time I have seen them. I feed him rabbit pellets and normally I fill up a small plastic bowl. I free-feed him because I do not have access to a scale to weigh the feed at the moment. But he is still a bit underweight, by feeling his back. He is probably a year or close to a...

    Clumpy Rabbit Poo?

Okay so I've noticed that my buck has clumpy poop. It's moist, almost to the point of diarrhea, but still solid. It is large and the poop is like small poop all put together. He hasn't been exposed to any new rabbits. I hope that he will be okay.

    Please Help. Unexpected Rabbit pregnacy!

You can normally see the babies kick towards the end of the pregnancy, at least in my does. I'd say maybe 1 week more at the most. But that's just when I'm guessing she'll kindle, based on my does. Good luck!

    Please Help. Unexpected Rabbit pregnacy!

If she's nesting, it's probably really close. Can you see the babies kicking when she lays down? Gold ball? Could you compare the sizes to fruits? Or coins, possibly?

When should I rebreed my young doe? (Winter)

You're welcome! Best of luck! :D

When should I rebreed my young doe? (Winter)

 Usually however long it takes for them to breed. Usually around 5-15 minutes, supervised.

When should I rebreed my young doe? (Winter)

From what I understand, waiting longer to breed doesn't make a difference on the size of the litter. The number of "fall-offs" usually increases the size of the litter. When you breed them, make sure the buck falls off at least twice. He will usually mount the doe, grunt and then fall off, which...

When should I rebreed my young doe? (Winter)

The kits will stay perfectly warm in the nest. It is normally 101-102 degrees fahrenheit in the nest where the kits are. I'd go ahead and breed her now and then wean the kits at 5 weeks so that she can have a two weeks break before kindling. Hope this helps! :)

    cat fight,,need advice.

We have four barn cats. Every now and then, they come back with some wounds. We keep Vetericyn on hand at all times. Use hydrogen peroxide or witch hazel to keep the wounds clean. If they don't have any signs of infections, spray the Vetericyn on it to close it up. I would leave the teeth alone...

    sexing rabbits

Looks like you've sexed them correctly! Bunny 1 looks like a boy and bunny 2 looks like a girl. Do you know how old they are? He could have bred to her. I can't tell if he has his 'parts' in the picture.

    Should I put him down?

A few of my barn cats have come back a couple times with pretty deep wounds. I have used Vetericyn and it works wonders. Spray the wound a couple of times. I would probably do it twice a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. One of my mom's friends had a horse with a football-sized...

    Sick Doe?

It's like a run that you move around the yard so they can graze on the grass but still be contained.

    Sick Doe?

 They always keep you on your toes. Her kits are doing fine as well. They are six weeks old today and as healthy as ever :) They enjoy it when they get to go in the rabbit tractor but it's been too muddy to put them in it the past couple of days. They are almost too big for their tractor...

    Newborn with leg injury?

    Yay! Good luck! :clover:

    Sick Doe?

She turned out fine :D A couple days of giving her mint dried her milk right up and she is doing much better! I think she is just really lazy now. I catch her laying down all the time but every now and ten she runs around her cage. She is eating and drinking fine, so I think I might breed her...

    Colony Idea

Okay, so no chicken wire. I'll have to find some 1" by 1/2" hardware cloth. I think my local Tractor Supply sells it. Thank you everyone for all of your input! This project probably won't happen for a few months, just so that I can save up some money to buy supplies. I will definitely post...

Rex with lopped ears, how often does this happen?

If it was permanently lopped ears, I would probably keep her to do some breeding experiments. Breed back to the mom if it's a buck or breed back to the dad if it's a doe. I would probably keep a couple back from that litter to do some test breeding ;)
