What would you add to this horse food?

My fodder sprouting is not progressing as hoped....! Still waiting for the first tray to get going!

What would you add to this horse food?

Well, I'm still aiming to naturally feed. The pellets I am using up are 15% protein but are full of soy meal and other things I want to avoid. A combined concentrate/"hay" ration would be ideal for saving storage space too. I'm off to browse a feedstore tomorrow anyway :)

What would you add to this horse food?

I was looking at basing the diet on sugar beet pulp and alfalfa hay - then found this http://www.efeed.co.uk/products/horse-f ... /alphabeet What do you think it's missing? If anything?

Popples at last! *now with pic*

So, who knows colour genetics? I have 3 solids (black to grey) and four with white bellies/ears - of which only two have the white flecks I'd expect from a silver marten...

Lambs!!! UPDATE: Twins on Page 2!

Shetlands did cross my mind. They come out in so many colours they have their own language for it! Well he's a lovely little mixed up thing :D

Popples at last! *now with pic*

Oh I'm not even attempting to sex them! There's one runty one, I presume I needn't worry as long as it has a full belly and is as active as the others?

I had another cuddle, they're not just pink/grey - some are solid, some have pale bellies, all very interesting...

So...how often am I allowed to peek at them? ;)

Popples at last! *now with pic*

Yes they're my first. They should be rex x silver marten, until I discovered that the other silver marten sister was a silver marten buck (they were at that time in a colony). Would two of them being a different colour indicate a cross? I would expect pure silver martens to all be the same colour?

Seven babies in the nest today - no sign of nesting last thing last night. She's obviously a sneaky mum! We'll have to wait to see who Dad is though

    winter rabbitry advice needed

UK based (currently enjoying Scandinavian winds and snow - thank you!). My lot are in cages now, but inside a brick building. It has a permanently open window, and vented roof tiles. All fine so far; their water bottles have frozen once all winter so that gives an idea of how much protection the...

Seriously, I may possibly be ...

Little tip - I find it easier to cut ligaments around and in the joints rather than try to break the bones for taking feet off / jointing. You get further with a small sharp knife and knowing where to twist than you do with brute force :)

Seriously, I may possibly be ...

Have you seen the "rabbit popping" youtube video? It's certainly faster

Help with muddled thoughts - please!

Thanks for all your thoughts, it has helped clear my head slightly. I've scratched together enough materials for one super-duper-clever cage, if it works I'll put up some pics ;) I think I'll move to cages for now, while I'm still learning about the individuals. I'd hate to miss a problem...

    Doe - white/red/creamy "urine"

The hopefully-pregnant doe I moved into a cage yesterday, this morning has an area of urine/discharge/liquid. She has been on deep litter previously so I haven't seen anything similar from her before. The liquid is a fairly thick/creamy, white tinged with red. Any ideas?? No sign of kits etc...

Just starting out and have lots of questions

I'm a newbie myself so don't take this as gospel but... I don't think door position would make a lot of difference. Potentially rabbit could have a larger floor area because you don't need to worry about reaching into each corner. I prefer lifting an animal up to me, rather than "pulling" it...
