    Well I took the plunge...

I bought a brand new zero turn mower. So that's great...except now that I can easily mow my 2 acres of grass/clovers the rabbits no longer have the natural feed I usually give them. I guess I shouldn't have been over zealous with my new toy. I'll have to remember to leave a section of grass...

    Vacation time quandry

So I have 7 cali rabbits that have a watering system set up but no auto feed system. The family and I are heading to Canada for a week in June\July. I have no idea what to do with our bunnies while we are gone. We don't have anyone that can come feed and check on them that we know of. Any...

Optimal time to sell rabbits(breeding schedule as well)

So what are the best times of year to sell rabbits? Specifically Californians. I know Easter is a good time to have some weanlings ready. What about the start of 4-h clubs and FFA clubs? When do they start and what age rabbits do they usually request? Any other dates/time suggestions?<br...

    Who let the rabbits out?

So thought I'd let you all see what my front lawn looked like this afternoon. My wife took this pic. Let's see who can count how many rabbits are in this picture. Seriously...guess.

    New Rabbit Run with questions

Built this rabbit run/tractor today. When we put first group of bunnies in, we tried to start to sex them and didn't see much difference yet. Then, we saw one bunny acting like a boy. He was mounting everyone. We've separated him from the others, but do not have enough cages for each...

    Ear pellets?

So I have three does that all like to lay under the J feeders seemingly to let the kits climb on her and get better access to the pellets/grass/etc.. that we put in the feeders. While letting them out for a run the other day my daughter noticed that one of the does had "gunk" in her ear. Upon...

    Is it time to sell?

I've begun the weaning process. Taking 2 out per day till the momma is all alone and dried up. I want to put the kits up for sale starting next week. I can't tell the difference between does and bucks yet though. Is it basically mandatory that you know the sex before you start selling them...

To wean or not to wean ... that is the question.

Birthdate of all the kits was March 22. They are all eating greens, drinking out of the water bottles and sometimes chasing momma around for a little feeding as well. According to an online calculator I should wait till May 12th to take momma away. Any other input as to what I should wean the...

Cage size question and possible problem

So we made an 8' cage which has two 36" holes(for the does) on each end and a 24" in the middle(possibly for a buck). |---36"---|--24"--|---36"---| Is it safe to put anything in the middle/24" hole or should I use that as a temporary switch out cage or storage? I don't want the rabbits...

    Lone gray kit

Ok so again with a quick summary... 1 buck bred to three does which resulted in 27 succesful kits(9 to each doe). It's now 10 days later and they are all doing well, except for 2 that died at birth to the new first time mommas, except for an anomoly. I don't know quite what to make of it...
