In addition to my rabbit herd we have a flock of laying hens, a dozen quail (coturnix and jumbo brown) and three muscovy ducks. We just started the quail and ducks this spring and hope to grow both into self sustaining and productive flocks. And of course my 100 lbs gsdXg.pyr puppy 😄

We had our first thunderstorm yesterday...i thought nothing of it. Went out a few hours later to find a normally steller and seasoned mama peed all over 11 kits and they were wet and chilled.
I got them in time, warmed and dried and shelved for the night. But waiting now to see if she'll resume...

Has anyone ever encountered something like this? Its an abcess on the surface of the muscle...I squeezed a little white paste out. It came in thru the hide. The rabbit was 15 weeks old and otherwise normal and healthy in behavior and appearance of meat and organs.
