That is definitely sunflower seed (striped), not BOSS (black oil sunflower seed). BOSS is smaller than regular sunflower seed and pretty much all black.

What do you feed them? Do you feed them rations with a 15-16% protein content? Lower? What are your breeders weights? Do you know how fast your breeders gained weight when they were young? Did the doe provide sufficient milk in the first few days?

Regular/standard brown cardboard is not an issue. I use it sometimes with my rabbits in my nest boxes and even toss it into my compost after it has been shredded. Cardboard with a glossy smooth finish is probably not advisable.
