Hi, paws are not matted. That's good, right? I picked off the crusty stuff and it hasn't come back. Maybe just schmutz? :)

Thanks for the replies but oh my! I hope it's not boogies. It is dark green and I wonder if it is from his pellets. It is less today that the other day- maybe he cleaned it off? His behavior seems ok; he seems active and Is Eating and drinking. We only have one bunny so I'm not worried about...

Hi I'm new to bunny pets. My bun is about 11 weeks. He is awesome. Do bunnies need shots like puppies do? I'm noticing a little crust on bunny's fur around his nose / nostrils. I can't tell if it's boogies or from his food or something from when he was sniffing around. Should I be...

Do rabbits need bedding (ie - carefresh, wood chips, etc)?

What about flannel? We have a ton of old receiving blankets from the kids when they were babies. In wondering if they'd be safe for bunny

Thanks to all who gave advice here and invited me to the show in CO (that I couldn't go to ). We got a bunny; a holland lop. We didn't get the brown one because there was the eye issue that didn't clear up. The bunny is 8 weeks; we took him home yesterday. It's a boy! Thanks again everyone!

Thanks - that's good to keep in mind that it might be "nest eye." The breeder said she is treating it ... With a saltwater solution (I think that's what she said). I hope that's ok. The breeder told us that babies don't always make it; my daughter would be sad to hear if anything dies, of...

Thanks! Yes - this forum is awesome! I've already learned so much!!! Good idea about bringing baby to vet. I'm also starting to look for breeders in southern Colorado . But maybe this baby will be fine. Time will tell.

Thanks. Farmington is pretty far; but I sent a message. The other links not really working. Spoke to someone who has Netherlands dwarfs but they are a 5 hour drive, one way, and said holland lops are hard to find in nm. :( If this baby doesn't work out, Maybe will wait for the next litter...

Thanks - will proceed with caution here. Maybe wait the extra 2 weeks. Or look for another holland lop breeder. They are hard to find here in northern New Mexico.
