Role of vinegar (if any) as drinking additive

Hi, absolutely new to keeping rabbits, but intend to continue come what may. Summers here are extreme temperatures soaring above 45 degrees.
Some farmers here advise apple cider vinegar to the drinking water (different ratios).
Is it effective or just a myth.

Controversial. In my opinion it depends on what you expect ACV to do. I don't buy some of the more miraculous claims, but I have observed that my rabbits and chickens like the taste. With ACV they seem to drink more, and more hydration maybe = more health generally? Beyond that I couldn't say.

I use ACV in my bunny water and they do like it. I have never had a problem with mites.
