young pumpkin plants

fed one to a doe this morning and then said...hmm... should double check this is all okay before feeding them to the rest of the rabbits.

double checked through the internet nothing says I shouldn't.

Anyone else nay-saying feeding very young pumpkin plants to rabbits? (just at the two leaf stage). They are the ones I didnt get out of the rinse water when I had my pumpkin seed bonanza from a bit back.

You can feed them safely, but the rabbits may not like them. I've found they will sometimes eat very young squash and pumpkin leaves, but not once they get fuzzy.

the one I did feed got gobbled up some quickly you would have thought it was a prickly lettuce leaf or dandelion. This week I'll be pulling up what is left of my fall garden (radishes and what not) and thought I might feed these pumpkin plants as well.
