About 2 weeks ago I noticed that the hair on his face had been “painted” down. That’s the best way I can describe it. It literally looks like someone took a small brush and smeared white paint on his face and one of his ears. Not a lot, just the type of stroke you would get from one of those tiny paint brushes. Sense he was still acting like himself I didn’t think too much about it, but made sure to always deal with him last just in case.
Well, as of Monday, those painted spots, save for the one on his ear, are turning reddish brown. He also seems to have calm down a bit. Normally he darts to the rear of the cage if I reach inside at all. Yet, lately he has only been doing that if I try to grab him, similar to what his sire, my older buck, does. If I am not reaching from him he will just sit down where he is at and wait for me to finish what I am doing. Additionally, if the door is shut, he is willing to hangout by it which is something he has never done before. Beyond the fur and calmer personality he seems normal.
