Do you know if they carry any recessives? Maybe you'll get self sooner than expected or chocolate agouti or opal.
I bet they have non extension, does your lilac? Maybe Lutino torts or fawns will pop up!
So exciting! I cannot wait to see all the colours!

I don't think they carry recessive, he breeds shadows to shadows so any recessives might be bred out.
Though he posted pics of 2 males and said one looks different, maybe it was opal lutino but who knows.
It would be interesting if they carry non-extension
I don't know if my doe carries it, she comes from 2 blacks and they come out of a lutino and chocolate.
The lutino comes out of black otter and lutino. No idea what goes behind that.
But i might breed one lutino to a black tort satin
And breed those kits back to the other lutino carriers, someday tort will pop out

The forum member from the UK with the Lutino said the original mutation was in a fawn, which I believe is called a Rubino, and he got his shadows from that.
I assume the first lutino's would have been used extensively and passed around that non extension gene.
One of my very well bred American Chinchilla does carries it and had a magpie when accientally bred to a Mini Lop so it can hide quite effectively.

The original mutation would be ABCDee, which are called yellow/orange lutino.
The breeder from Sweden has around 20 shadows and 8 yellows (orange lutino)
I will ask them if the shadows and yellow are crossed with eachother, if so, they should carry "e".
Rubino is a red (orange with the wideband gene)
Like this doe, she is darker than her parents who probably are Ww.
There was a red satin behind the parents which passed on to its grandchild
