It was bound to happen with what all I take. 2 of my meds got confused and I took 6 times the normal dose of one instead of the correct dose of the other. That bottle of pills wasn't even supposed to be with that section of bottles because it's not one of my daily meds. Since it has an accumulative effect with everything else I take it was off to the ER. Blood drawn, machines hooked up, and they said just go to sleep while they monitor my bp and breathing. I have insomnia so everything I take is sedatives and that was a particularly strong one. Sedation to the point breathing stops was the main concern.
I have horrible luck with blood pressure cuffs but this time I got the most psycho one ever. I have bruises on my arms. I was banging my fist against the bed rail every time it went off from the pain even when they switched arms. Eventually after getting very dizzy and high I fell asleep. I have dreams of the times that cuff went off while I was sleeping. :| Then I woke to much pain in my upper arm which was apparently their attempt to wake me up. They said it was very difficult to get me awake.... duh! With no problems on the monitors I could go home to sleep though. I had had it with the psycho blood pressure cuff and took it off since it took over a half hour for someone to come back. It turned out they needed a final vitals reading to discharge me though. So the malfunctioning cuff was put back on. My blood pressure that stayed around 100/60 the whole time suddenly showed 150/120 so I couldn't leave. :fainting: 3am turned in to 4am while they tried to sort out my bp. Finally they decided if I could walk with no problems I could go home so we strolled around the corridors. I managed to walk normal while being higher than a kite.
More waiting while feeling forgotten and I almost just went back to sleep. Finally home at 5am. I woke up again at 4pm. My head is so confused about what time it is but I will have plenty of energy tomorrow from all the sleep. That's what I keep that med around for. It's my emergency need lots of sleep now pill.
So I am alive and I'm taking back over the dosing of all my medications. Josh had to do them for awhile but he is not observant. He also let's meds run out and then gets all pissy that he has to go find somewhere to fill them at midnight. I used to get them shipped to me automatically but new insurance does not cover online pharmacies even if it is going through your local pharmacy.
