Winterizing your colony

Looking for Ideas on how to winterize a colony and how well winter kits do? opcorn:

I just put some plastic on the windows, the outdoor one gets tarped on three sides. Winter kits do fine if your doe makes a nest, pulls fur and has them in the nest.

I just add bales of straw which they sometimes nest in on top of their normal bedding.
