I kept the weight records of the parents of my bunnies.

6 weeks old
Mother-- 420 grams
Father -- 370 grams

But babies are much larger and only 4 weeks old

4 weeks old
Baby 1-- 510
Baby 2-- 520
Baby 3 -- 500

So, does that mean they are going to be huge? or does it just mean the mother is producing really fattening milk— the do look like fat little butter balls.

Where the parents in big litters and the babies in a small one now?
Are the parents purebreds of different breeds? (hybrid vigor)

No answer to your question, just shouting ideas :)

My latest litter of pure bred NZW got to over 500 grams in 21 days :D

In my book, it's great! I'm raising meat rabbits, if it's a miniature breed, you might have a problem.

Other than that, it's a great trait.

Mine are miniature - mini lops the smaller the better. Its not good if they are only a week older than yours and weigh the same- full grown mini lops should be less than 1.6 kg fully grown and New Zealand Whites grow to 5 kgs- ( I just looked it up ). So mine should be way smaller than yours.
