Should I be worried?
YES! What you are seeing may have been caused by:
Dust in the eye or any other foreign blown in the breeze.
It could also be a symptom of Pasteurella.
I would separate that rabbit from the rest of the herd.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

:yeahthat: eye discharge is not normal so I would put her in quarantine, wipe the **** out several times a day and monitor her to see if it gets better, worse, or she developes other symptoms.

I just checked her again and the the gloopy stuff is all gone. She has been living in the house at the moment as she has a new litter of three week old kits, so i don't think she has been near the other rabbits for a while thankfully. Mybe I'm just paranoid

Also, sometimes rabbits get blocked tearducts, some people think it happens to boys more than girls do to hormonal changes- it eventually can lead to eye infections. First I would just try washing it out with a strong solution of black tea. If that doesn't work I would try a teaspoon of raw honey or manuka honey- mixed with two table spoons of black tea and drip it into the eyes with by squeezing a cotton ball (this has worked for me). Honey has antibacterial properties. (There are also lots of other recipes for eyewashes for conjunctivitis on the internet using honey, for people, that you can look up). As an alternative you can try antibacterial eyedrops from the pharmacy called Brolene over the counter. If it doesn't clear up or gets worse you need to go to the vet or cull it.
