IS the weather good across the continent? Are you all out doing spring things?Seems like it-- as the place seems awful quiet around here!!!

I have bright, overcast skies here, but the birds are singing, the eather isn't too nasty cpld, and four baby bunnies are exploring the nestbox floor. Life can be very good! :D

We just got snow/freezing rain last night. I can't believe this. It's supposed to be spring. I want to transplant my lettuce and broccoli but there's 2 inches of snow on the ground.

It seems to be melting today but this better be the last storm of the year. AND fishing season started last friday so I want to get out and enjoy this. But the weather just hasn't cooperated lately.

It's been mostly rainy and cold here and this morning there was a slight dusting of snow on the ground but as the sun gets at it it's gone. I don't really mind the rain as it washes away the winter crap so I'll put up with it. There have been enough nice days in the last couple of weeks that I"ve got my chicken setup finished and I need some more nice days so I can start working on the rabbit housing. Come on summer!!

It's a very reluctant spring, that's for sure. Overcast and chilly here and the winds were gusty earlier. They seem quieter now. I sure could use some sunshine and milder temperatures.

We've had plenty of Aprils like this before. Usually it means that May will be lovely. I'm hanging onto that bright thought. :)

Well, April Showers bring the flowers that bloom in May-- or so the song says!!!

and what do Mayflowers bring ??? * wait for it * ..... Pilgrims ! .... ba-dum-dummmm ! :D

We want so much to get into the garden !!! DH was able to get a rough tilling done, but it has rained and sn*wed ever since. We received our onion plants and they need to go out...just cannot get them there.

Maybe next week. Then it will all hit at once !

Wyoming can't make up its mind. Yesterday it was beautiful, then snowed, then rained, then was great out again. Today it's windy and sunny...ugh.

My sister lives in Florida and she keeps talking about how nice it is in her pool :( I just want to see the sun for a few days in a row and keep it above freezing.

Sorry! If it makes you feel any better, we will be MISERABLE in about two months and it will last until....oh.....October!

I got to visit Texas(Houston) last September for a week with work. It was pretty hot and humid. The air was so thick I found it hard to breathe. I spent a lot of time after the meetings next to the pool with a garbage can full of beer and ice.

It's rained every day here for the past week, but I won't complain too loudly. I know that the folks down in Texas need what we're getting right now.

It has been nice here also 80-85 humidity has been high in the 70-80% Now rain for weeks. We did have a wet dry season maybe that meens nothing to worry about this hurricane season?? Last year was very calm for us not even 1 TS.

RAIN and COLD in upstate New York.
I know that the rain will be good for the flowers,
or will it? Will too much rain DROWN them?
I am waiting for my Comfrey patch to become usable
for my rabbits. I have been busy re-vamping my Rabbitry.
Barn repair etc. The rain has placed a damper on my progress
but it did give me a pause for thought.
I have decided to build a door on my back wall to allow access
to the back of the cages without having to crawl under them.
I will get pics when I'm finally done.
All things must pass.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

The kiddos and I shifted 2 cubic yards of packed, 18-inch-deep driveway gravel, and planted 10 lbs of potatoes, built a fence around them to keep the dog out, and started various other seeds and there is still a ton of digging to do--so yeah, our ridiculously short windows between rains are all being taken up by frantic activity. The rest is spent in exausted stupor...:)

It finally warmed up here, but it has been rainy for 4 or 5 days and they forecast the same for another week. No problem from getting bored though, they throw severe thunderstorms daily. :p

Yep, that is Southern Texas alright. The humidity is usually hovering near 100%.

After rain, wind and cold overnight and into this morning, we were so glad to see sunshine and the first real warmth of the spring. T-shirt weather! :bouncy:

We did some gardening and I planted spinach, romaine, radishes and dill. Picking greens for the buns is still a challenge, but a few days like today and everything will jump!
