Hubby and I have decided that our base floor will be plywood with a coating of waterproof sealer. This bunny house will be in the house. So we have a blank canvas to work with. So, what's your favorite type of flooring for a bunny house?

My job is floors .... specifically hardwood. I worked for this company back in the 80's out of high school and have recently returned to it after 25 years. Actually did President Bush's (sr.) home in about 1988 ....

I did my own home in bamboo because it was cheap. I paid less than a dollar a foot in materials .... but that was several years ago and the price has just about doubled. I'd have preferred to use either walnut or pecan ..... but the cost there is crazy.

Most of what we do in residential settings is oak and occasionally some inlay work with exotic woods.

No .... I don't know how on earth I didn't realize you were talking about a bunny barn when I made that post above.

The big issue with wood is liquid .... and rabbit pee is very caustic. I'd probably go with something I could hose down ... tile , rubber or linoleum with a moisture barrier between it & the wood subfloor as well as partially up the wall (like a bathroom). I'd also add a floor drain if at all possible , even if it just went out into the yard , just to make sure any water / pee isn't able to stand and cause you problems down the road.
