Silver has white hairs mixed in with his coat, just impossible to tell in photos. Ill take a close up photo.

Chestnut is also called brown or black agouti or wild colour

The white hairs could be mis-marks or possibly the silver gene but it is pretty rare.

He's part silver fox if that makes a difference, and has silver-fox hair (stays standing up until you push it back)

silver fox are genetically black, with a silver gene, so count him as breeding a black rabbit as Dood said.
