What to put in to replace nestbox

When you remove the nest box, what do you put in it's place?

Nothing...or you can flip the box on its side so they have a place to cuddle.

I have found that the artificial fleece used in dog and cat beds to be nice-- have also taken a pillow case, put some of the regular bedding in it,folded a large portion of it over-- a nice, washable cover, absorbentand disposable filling, and a cushy, insulated spot for the babies to pile up on...

Great idea. Finally, a use for the stuffing from gutted dog toys!

When I remove the nest box I don't put anything else in the cage since all the cages already have resting boards.

I just replace the box for a fresh heap of nice hay in so they have plenty to nibble on.
