I have a doe which lost a lot of weight after having six babies. It has been 5 weeks now.

I give her a lot of vegetable green recently, I notice her poo is soft and stick together too.

I worry she is sick. What should I do?

Many thanks

Nathan

I would stop giving her greens and keep her on pellets. The greens (especially if you haven't given them to her before) can cause runny poop because of digestive upset. Give her plenty of hay, and monitor to make sure the runny poop isn't because of a disease.

I would recommend adding BOSS or calf manna to her diet as well, just to help her rebound after her litter.

As the others have said, she is likely out of condition after having fed kits. Cut down on the greens, increase her pellets, add some oatmeal or BOSS, and keep an eye on her.

If you plan on breeding her again, get her back in condition first. With her next litter, add some of the oatmeal and/or BOSS as she is nursing to help keep her wieght up.

Any chance for pics of the kits?? You know we love pics here.
