I've been raising rabbits for about a year now. Last night I had a NZ/Holland Lop give birth to 15 kits. 3 died. leaving her with 12 which are doing well. I have another doe give birth last week to 12.

My largest litter so far (out of a Rex doe) has been 14 with 10 surviving to weaning.

20! good grief poor doe.

my biggest litter until this last couple months had been 9. then my doe GTS had a first litter of 10 with 9 surviving... then she had a second litter of 13! i had to move her and bad me she decided the moved litter was not hers and long story short i got two runts from it. this litter she had 11, three runts have died but they were half the size of the others.

16 with all 16 surviving for 48 hours. I culled two leaving 14. One got out
on the wire and expired leaving 13. One just flat disappeared. 12 survived.

One young doe saved back and getting ready to go into the production herd.

Did you leave the all with the same doe?

Largest so far is 9 with all 9 surviving....so far. Anything happens to them I'm blaming MSD.

My largest was 14, from an AmChin x NZ doe, all survived as I was able to foster some to a doe who only had 3 :)

My largest litter from my 3 to 5 pound Mini Lops was 9

And the largest from my Netherland Dwarfs back on the 80's, was 7 which was a real surprise as I normally only got 3 to 5

Largest litters are 2 current ones.
9 each.
One is a cali and other is a mixed medium size doe.

Then there is the one that I sold. :t_oops:
I got her in a swap deal. Supposedly she was bred.
Nope. Bred her again. NOPE. One last time # 3.
A fellow wanted several does, so I sold her as a bred doe.
Medium size rabbit. Nothing special. A bit sassy.
Anyways, she kindled 9 and took care of them all from the
breeding I did here. I was happy for him.
I just found out she had her second litter. 14

14 from a NZW/Cali doe - half survived but the other half were victims of a cat and even though they were alive when I found them they all died within 3 days. This doe always has large litters - she averages 10 and rarely has any that die.

Yea she was really stressed. She went OCD about digging. Dug out all the hay and shavings in the nestbox, peed in it, and then dumped the kits. Never went back to take care of them. It was the middle of the winter with few does breeding so there wasn't really anything we could do for them. At -20 or lower temps without a good nest and no food they succumbed to hypothermia. I don't remember if I ever got a 2nd litter out of her. I had a horrible time breeding those pointed whites.

My checkered x NZ does averaged 12-14 with minimal losses. My creme d'argent usually had 8-10 and only ever lost part of 2 litters to a rat infestation.

7 but 2 died from a Lionhead. 6 is the largest I've had that survived. I'm hoping to experience a big litter in a few months once from French Angoras are bred.

My most recent litter from my chocolate Dutch doe- 11. It was her second litter, the first being 7.
