Sorry this is a really dumb question I know but its a term used often in this site as a newbee Im learning? I know it will be obvious once its answered but I will be the dummy to ask

It's not as obvious as you might think. You probably know that it's a youth organization, developed (designed?) by the Department of Agriculture:

The name represents four personal development areas of focus for the organization: head, heart, hands, and health

4-H is a youth organization that promotes animal husbandry.

The 4 H's of 4-H is Head, Hands, Heart, and Health.

I love 4-H. It is fun, newbie friendly, and teaches both the showing and the meat side of rabbits.

It is open to anyone between the ages 6-19. 6-9 year olds are primaries and do not get anything other than participation ribbons.
