Frosted Rabbits

I Finally moved Marsha's kits to their own cage, and apparently, just in time-- as soon as they were all out of her cage, she started scratching, scratching, scratching. I stuck a box with shavings in with her, she hopped right in and seems to be setting things 'just so'....
So, 4 five week old kits, 8 eleven day old kits, and another litter gonna show itself real soon. Two senior MR bucks, a pre-junior NZ/CAL buck, and two 'working' does-- only 9 cages-- see a problem here?
Meanwhile, Wilma's little chocolate baby with the one white paw-- I keep finding him out of the box-- and always on a small scrap of fleece blanket-- like maybe she took it out for him to be on-- I am surprised at how well she is holding her condition- what with 8 stinkers to feed and care for. She may not be the friendliest rabbit in the world, but she sure is a good Momma, and doesn't mind my handling the kits-- she does mind me re-arranging things, though!
I am finding, having Marsha and wilma both in the living room, where they see me a LOT, and the kits natural curiosity-- has turned out real good for the kits, and Marsha-- a lot friendlier and more outgoing than when at bigbrothers place.
