I have a Blue Point Himilayan, Black point Himilayan, a Smoke, and a Sable Point- all does.

We are breeding our bunnies to a friend's studs, she has blue otter and BEW. What colors would be possible from these crosses, and which do you recommend crossing?

All are breed quality and papered show bunnies :)

Thanks!

from what i recall from other conversations you want to stay with the shaded varieties with the pointed, OR go with a self coloured.

That smoke pearl's head is tiny. No me gusta.

If you breed to BEW, you will get all VM or VC babies, and they will only be useful in a BEW breeding program.

Lol, it is an awkward picture of her, her head is one of her flaws but it really isn't as tiny as it looks in that picture! haha

Also, I'm really new to this forum and I haven't decided what colors I want to breed really :) I like the smoke, and Siamese colors, and BEW, but I also am hoping for a variety.

lol it just looked like a bad photoshop ;)

Breeding to BEW, you get only VM and VC kits. Nice for a BEW project, if you decide on that(cover two does, pick the best buck from one litter, best doe from the other). VM kits sell like hotcakes around here, as pets. If you sell those kits, or any relations to those kits, it is vitally important to let any other breeders know that there is a possibility of VM or VC kits, since there would be nothing worse than having a bald face kit show up without the breeder knowing to expect that!

That buck doesn't look sable point to me, there's no tan hues in there. My guess would be poss seal point, poss poorly marked smoke pearl.

This is sable point.

Vienna marked Sable Point would look like this

Zira, hoping to get siamese sables out of her one day

She must be related to your jerk buck, she has the same narrow-eyed look of hate, LOL.

I actually might have a siamese sable vienna in the nest box right now ;)

The BEW could be any colour under the white coat so you could get chestnuts, blacks, chinchilla, etc.. unless you know what colours the littermates or parents were.

Vienna marked rabbits will have disqualifying white spots so cannot be shown. Vienna carriers do not show any white so can be shown but half their kits will get the gene and may not be so lucky. Murphys law dictatets it is likely your best looking bun which ends up with a white nail and is un-showable.

Breeding these self does to an otter buck will give you 50% otter kits.

He is blue so will give you more blues when bred the the blue himi and smoke. Depending what genes he is hiding you could also get smokes and blue himi.

Breeding him to the black himi will give you blacks and again depending on hidden genes in the doe and buck you could get blues and blue or black himis

There will be some surprises since we dont know your rabbits full genotype.
