champagne colored. I think I remember someone here telling me lilac has this weird hue, but could be wrong.

I agree with your color calls except that I wonder about the first broken, the one with fewer spots and without spots on its crown. It could be just broken spots on the ears, but it looks like the inner ear lining is white like an otter or martin. Does its nose have markings around the nares too, or is it solid black?

I'll have to check. Clip from yesterday's check-in.

the light inside the ears of your last broken black probably means it is a broken chestnut
It's such a rich black color; seems a little too old to be a chestnut but still not showing ticking. I think the debate is whether it's a broken black martin versus a broken self black. The ear linings looked suspicious to me too, but I've had broken blacks with white markings in their ears. I thought the nose might clear it up, but the kit has a white nose marking, too, so no help there! There don't seem to be eye circles, either, but I've had numerous otters and martins without discernible eye circles.
At this point I'm leaning more toward broken black, since the ears, while white inside, don't seem to have the usual lacing of otter/martin. Also, while it's not conclusive evidence, the rest of the kits in the litter are selfs or possibly agouti (assuming the blue steel is an agouti-based steel).
