OK so I know 2 are tort- the biggest bun (chestnut) and one of the lighter ones. Hard to see the tort on the chestnut but it's there. My question is what colors would the 2 lighter ones be? The lightest one has no tort markings, it's a very light pretty color. I thought they were fawns but now I'm seeing some color differences.

Here's a cute pic I took, they were a little younger in this one

Mom's were satin/flemish, dad is mini rex. Ignoring that info, of you had to try and guess a breed what would you pick? To me they just look like CUTIES!! We are more than likely keeping Chubby Chestnut, that's what we've been calling him :)

__________ Wed Mar 16, 2016 5:39 am __________

And the lightest one has blue eyes ♡♡♡

I'm not sure if I'm understand you right but a chestnut cannot also be a tort.

Chestnut is E- A- and tort is ee aa. Red is generally wideband with high rufus. I think what you have a are fawn (ee A-), tort (not 100% sure it's a bit hard to see in that picture) and chestnut.

I thought b the chestnut was a tort because his nose area has a lighter color of brown??

Is it common for oranges to have blue eyes? Just curious as I was thinking about keeping the orange one and chubby chestnut lol he is soooooo sweet and does the teeth chatter thing. Never had a bun do that before :) ♡♡♡ and an added bonus, he rarely kicks when picked up. Me being a diabetic that's a really good thing!

__________ Wed Mar 16, 2016 9:05 am __________

I guess I'm having a hard time distinguishing between smut and tort? There are 2 kits that are smut/tortless lol and 2 with smut/tort. (This litter there were 4 fawnish kits and 3 blacks) other litter 6 blacks and 1 chestnut. Both litters 100% brokens)

They have grown since this pic but this shows the brownish Grey color more. There are even spots of this color near their bottoms more towards the sides.

Torts are self based so you should not see any agouti type markings in the fur - which is particularly noticeable in the ears.

Because they are also broken it is harder to tell what is due to the agouti gene and what is stray white hairs from the broken gene

Ps mom's have been rebred this time to Chips, my black/white broken mini rex. Hoping maybe I'll get some different colors? I doubt it tho as the males are brothers but in my mind.. it could work lol I'm sure this time I'll get some solids :)

I truly wish I could run an add to save some of these from... you know... easter is coming but they will only be 2 or 3 days shy from 5 weeks. I will still try to sell some of the very sweet ones as pets. But I'll miss the easter sales. Might be better tho for the bunnies in the long run.

__________ Wed Mar 16, 2016 9:20 am __________

So dood, the best way for me to describe them is

The lightest one..
The littlest one..
The light one with dark spots
Hahahaha that's how I've been doing it and it works Hahahaha
