Ok so I've got this cutie little baby and her fur is brown like a very light brown at the tips but the underside is gray a very very light almost lilac gray. She looks like a mix of these two. The tops are brown but the base is gray she's very fluffy and you can see the gray. *If I had my phone I'd post a pic* *These are two random google photos that are close to the two colors she is. I can use my laptop for a pic but it probably wouldn't be the best* They are supposed to be Silver Fox but I'm not sure since I have brown babies *i.e. I haven't looked into Silver Foxes yet*

Bizarre

Here is my guess...

The both look self based rather than agouti

Coffee is definitely chocolate and Muna is definitely black

It might be chinchilla causing the light undercoat (making them self chins) OR maybe sable :? but I think the steel gene would be needed to darken them this much :hmm:

They are not dilute

They are both full extension, or steel ;)

Coffee I thought was a Chocolate, but then she got the silver underneath and it looks almost like more silver than brown but I don't know I'll post more pictures as she gets older. Thanks for yall's help.

Yeah, chocolate (or stained blue?) and black. Snowball undercoat. Going by the faces and fluff factor, I'd say yes to them being silverfox. That white mark (also common with silverfox) on the sis should disappear with age.
Either may have hidden steel genes which may or may not affect the undercoat color. I tend to believe steels tend towards darker undercoats.
The snowball effect also tends to lessen or disappear with age.

Well their dad has a white spot on his forehead similar to theirs but he's the only one that has it. The other buck don't. Their mom on the other hand has like this tiny white splotch on her nose and I think 1 or 2 of the babies might too.

White spots on adult animal is undesirable in SF since it's a show DQ. You can still bred the ones you have, but consider only saving unspotted kits as future brood stock.

Well this is their dad. His name is Papa Bear. The spot isn't very noticeable as you can tell he has white flecks and I think it's just more white in the small area.

This is their mom. Her name is Turtle. She has a nose splotch. Does that disqualify them as well?

Oh yeah, any white spots, or even just too much silvering in a clump that looks like a spot can DQ a silver fox from being shown.
The scattered white silvering is desirable though, and recent trends have been to select towards very heavily silvered animals.
Those white spots do not mean they are not purebred, or that you can't breed them. It just means that white spotted kits they produce will be unshowable too. Most breeders would cull those.

Sometimes silverfox will produce kits with a small forehead blaze that vanishes with age, and that isn't as big of a deal, but show buyers probably wouldn't want an 8 week old kit that still had a white blaze.

Silver fox kits are born self looking, and the silvering comes in with age, so you should definitely see more white hairs as time goes by. Fur length and adult size are also very important with silver fox, I suggest looking up their show standards.

Since the dam is blue, I'm leaning towards your Coffee being a stained blue.

I've looked a bit into show standards but not really all too much. For show breeding I will definitely use my Lilac buck who has no white on his face and breed him to the mom of these babies and see what I get out of it. I will look into show standards though thank you Zass!! :D :D

Lilac? Oh, haha, that might be what coffee is too. Perhaps a slightly sunscorched lilac? My sunburned lilacs usually looked more like they had beige tips than chocolate though...And she looks super dark in that last pic..

I think that could've been caused by difference of lighting.. Maybe?.. I was in the shade at the time I took that and all the others were in the sun. Here is a pic of all three of them then and now *They've all lightened*
Now vs. Then - Edited.jpg

He looks almost Lilac in the sun and I wasn't sure of color so I assumed Lilac or Steel I definitely need to look into the colors more but that's a hard one in my opinion Thank you Dood
