What would cause this in a barely two week old kit? Not eating solid food yet. Not ever out of the next box. Is mom not providing cecotropes?
First time mom, 2 kits in the litter, both fat and healthy looking until this, other one has a little caked soft poop but not bad.
It looks just like hutch burn in an older rabbit.... I've washed his little bottom two evenings and given him some pro bios paste and it's definitely better... But I'd like to know what caused it and how to prevent for next time! Thanks! :)
(Sorry for the in your face pic)

I don't think it's diarrhea... I think it's urine..... but not sure. He seems active and normal otherwise, ie not dehydrated Not handled and his sibling seems fine. Nest is clean.

I've never seen urine burn in a nursing kit and with their liquid diet it is HIGHLY unlikely to develop - their pee is practically pure water

I have seen lots of kits with liquidy yellow diarrhea in my 30 years of rabbit keeping

Thanks Dood! I couldnt imagine it being poop but you're right, it is.
Any suggestions for treatment? He is much better today. Only a little yellow right at the tail. I've been putting hay in the box and smearing pro bios on his face.... Should I clean out the box?

At two weeks, I start sprinkling regular oats in the box also. It might help.
