I read a passing mention to feeding cat tails to g. pigs and I wondered if they could be fed to rabbits?

Being at the planning stage of a small scale fish raising project I could add a cat tail bed to help filter the water and feed the rabbits, if it would be good for them.

completely edible and they keep well. I could pick 2 or 3 days worth and they'd still be green, juicy, and flexible. I fed my guinea pigs and rabbits on them rotating with corn stalks for awhile. I didn't want to wipe out the cat tail plot though and they stopped mowing the thistles making it hard to reach them.

Excellent! I know the people can eat almost all parts of them but I just wanted to be sure for the buns.

I love this place

Next problem is to find some that haven't been hit with weed killer, the local pond that had such a wonderfully beautiful edging of them now looks like a blasted wasteland
