Location
Central Oklahoma
I am in Oklahoma, and very few people within a 2 hour drive from me raise English. I have googled for rabbitry's for months with limited success. The one location I was able to find in Oklahoma referred me off to a friend of theirs. I am appreciative of that, however there are definite drawbacks to trying to buy a beginning line from only 1 small rabbitry.

I would be interested to know how many people on this board raise English, your location, a way to contact you, and if you have a website &/or any English for sale.

I will begin - I am located in Central Oklahoma. I don't currently have a website. I have a litter of 7 mostly unpedigreed babies at the moment. Parents are from show stock but papers were lost and I have been unable to reach the original breeder so far (I have intentions of meeting at a show in Oct) - so I have parents info and that is all. I know I will have a blue buck for sale. He is the runt of the litter and will probably never make show weight, but he is a sweet baby and will make a great pet. I will probably sell a couple of blue does and a cream doe, but that decision isn't final yet.
I don't know what the rules are about e-mail addresses, but if allowed, I would be willing to post it here.

Now, anyone else?

Unfortunately, summertime in Oklahoma means staying mostly in the A/C and keeping the bunnies cool. Shows won't start back up around here until late Sept or Oct.

I used to show with a breeder by the name of Debbie Ernst out of Lubbock Texas. She had some amazing E-lops. Since I sold out so many years ago, I've lost touch with all of my contacts and just feel like I'm floundering by myself. I know that's not really the case, but I would love to get back the comraderie of fellow enthusiasts who have a passion for a very old breed.

If you know her name, try looking on Facebook...she might be on there. :) If not, possibly contact the ARBA? I'm not sure how to go about finding lost contacts but don't lose hope! :)

Sorry, English Lops aren't my breed but I sympathize with being virtually alone, breed-wise, in an area. Best of luck finding others with a passion for your E-lops! :)

Oh how weird is that. I know a Debbie Ernst....but I'm not sure she ever raised rabbits or lived in Texas....I should ask her though. Errrrr....Oklahoma....no idea where I got Texas from....

I live in Western AR and have had Elops for almost two years. I go to shows in southern MO, and the state fair. I went to Duncan this year, but don't know that I will go again. There are usually only one or two Elop breeders at the shows I attend, so I am glad to here about more in OK. I can think of four breeders in OK right off hand. My lines are from Pease and Carrots out of Oregon and Ernst. In fact, I'm getting two more from Debbie at the convention. I have six 10 week old does right now, plus a few older bucks. I think I've only sold four so far. There is lots of activity on the Elop facebook page.

I'm working on a new site that in not operational yet.. http://broadwaystars.breezi.com/

I will probably attend the Duncan show this year, and am making plans for nationals. The Tulsa area usually puts on a few shows around fair time, but I don't have that schedule yet.

Good to hear Debbie is still raising and showing. So many of the ones I competed against aren't, anymore.
If you know of 4 breeders in Okla, I would definitely appreciate the info. Also any contact info you may have for Debbie, and yours too.

Unfortunately, I don't do facebook, or twitter, and wouldn't have a clue how to blog.
