vita-sol liquid multi-vitamin?

someone gave me a pretty much full bottle (4oz) of the stuff. they used to have rabbits/guinea pigs and said it really helps and gives em shiny full fur, yadda yadda...
i am hoping to start feeding an "as natural as i can manage to get it" diet with my growouts/keeper rabbits. but am thinking it'd be best to stay with pellets for my current mature breeder does. i worry alot about switching them over and them not getting enough to raise babies and loosing alot of condition. so i was thinking to experiment with it on growouts.
so for 5 month and up age rabbits i would be givin this to.
anyone use this or something like this that you liked it or didnt like it?

the bottle says 1/2 teaspoon daily per 4 oz of drinking water. i have 32oz water bottles and a few have bowls for water and some have 20oz soda bottle waterers. how much do i mix for them? i carry my water (yes for all ~16 rabbits :roll: at the moment anyway hahahaha) in 2liter bottles and juice jugs, etc. could i just mix it in the water in those and give it out that way?

Yes. Most water soluble vitamins degrade quickly and are supposed to be given daily for that reason, so if you don't refill the bottles daily they wont get the full benefit. But something is better than nothing, right?

ahh. yes i refill the bottles and bowls every day.
so a 2 liter is about 70oz... and it says 1/2 tsp per 4oz of water... so like 8 tsp per 2liter of water?! that sounds like i will have this little bottle of stuff gone in a week or less if i used it like that...?

That sounds about right.

Maybe you should use it for the does with kits instead. Get the little guys off to a good start.

I used that stuff for my guinea pig... she loved the taste and refused to drink water without it.

i tend to find using vitamins in the water is rather pointless. The pellets should come with everything the rabbit needs. BUT for the short term, to use it up, I'd do it.
