We don't have weasels here where we live...and rats IF they got to the suspended cage I'm sure they'd have to be small to get in because the wires on my cages are fairly narrow. Plus I'm thinking the mother would have noticed a commotion. We have cats that keep the mice snd rats and lizards, squirrel and others away.
Weasels are tiny. I saw some photos where someone had a dead European weasel and they put it up against the wire mesh used on some rabbit hutches - it got through (w)easily. It was less than the length of a hand minus tail, and the head fitted through an inch gap.

You can hold the Doe and put the Kit on her
Tried and kit didn't seem none too interested really but it does suckle on a pipette. Not sure it's getting enough nutrients either. I'm worried . Below circled is the kit. Wonder why it seems blue. Its not cold its plenty warm here as you can see theyre uncovered.20220514_182932.jpg
