Below is Mr. Loveable our Holland Lop. I absolutely love his color, looks darker without the flash. I assume he is bb. If I breed him with another color rabbit will any have his color or will I have to breed back? Will only a percentage of kits get his color or can I breed in a way so that all the kits have this color?

bb is recessive to all kinds of colors, so it depends on the color rabbit you plan to breed him to. Since it is recessive, if you want kits his color you either need the same color or one who carries the Bb gene.

He actually looks more like a seal to me, rather than chocolate.

If he is chocolate he is a very dark one (and you say he is darker without the flash!), he lacks the light brown eyes and there are likely other genes that are causing the deep colour.

Either way, as SkysTheLimit said, the genes are recessive so if you don't breed him to the same colour you'll have to breed back.

But as we are unsure of his exact colour anyway, your best bet is to breed him to a daughter (a black preferably, or sable if you get one) and you should get some kits that are his colour in that litter.

I love chocolates! He is gorgeous and i normally don't say this to lops because i dont like them :D
You need a doe who is either chocolate/lilac or carries the gene.
