Trying to figure out

Been trying to figure out what my one rabbit was I had. The person I got him from said he was sandwan hare or however you may spell it. But I can't seem to find any information of those on the internet. The only thing I can think of is I'm spelling it wrong or that it's not the right breed he was. Can anybody help me out or at least tell me if that's a real name. Hopefully someone can help me out.

San Juan Rabbit. They are a feral breed of rabbits that have populated the island of San Juan.

Some people breed them to resemble wild rabbits to train Beagles and other hunting dogs to course prey.

Yeah your right. I was pronouncing it wrong but I'm so thankful that someone could help me out. My sister in law had a rabbit that she had to cull because it had a lump on its side that she posted on here and also posted on here in hopes someone could figure out his breed. Well since you helped me out on the corrected spelling now she wants to find another one of the same breed since that was her first rabbit and she fall for that lovable bunny.
