Okay. Attempted breeding my doe and buck new Zealand's for the first time tonight. Their first time breeding And my first time breeding rabbits

He mounted her Allot of times. Seemed to the deed but he didn't do that falling over thing that I keep reading about. Do they have to fall over to know he actually Did what he was supposed to do? Any other way to tell besides waiting 7 days? Any advice would help! Thanks!

Yep, MSD is right... he didn't get the job done. If the doe will not lift for him, he can try and try and try, and not get anywhere.

The doe might even turn around and mount him, but it's a dominance display, not actual mating.

The thread MSD linked to might be a really big help to you. :)

Hello Buffalo Chris,
How old are the Rabbits you were trying to breed?
Did you examine the Does genital area to see if she was ready to breed?
The Doe should be slightly swollen, Red to purple in color if she is ready.
Make sure the Buck has a complete tool kit also.
If you do not witness breeding taking place within 5 min or less,
remove the Doe. Place her back in her cage, repeat the breeding for
up to four days in a row, [until breeding takes place] within that time frame
the deed should get done. 28 days from the breeding place a nestbox in with the Doe.
If you are not certain, place a nestbox 28 days from the first breeding try date.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:
