I know you are suppose to breed tri to tri.. .. but , If I have to use another color and then breed back to the tri... which color would you recommend... These are Rex

As tris are basically broken harlequins, I would go with a harlequin

Or a red as harlequins are reds with the Japanese harlequin gene and tris are broken reds with the JH gene

Remember breeding tri to tri is the same as breeding broken to broken and you will get Charlie kits
