A super amazing friend of mine told me about a neat trick to get does receptive to the buck. She told me to give them red raspberry tea the day before I want them bred and they'll let him breed the next day with no problems. I tried this with Helena, the celibate Flemish Giant doe, and it WORKED! Thankfully, I like raspberry tea too, so I already had some in the cupboard.

I highly recommend this. It pretty much made my life.

Huh, guess I will have to try that! My does are never interested in one buck until forced, then they are willing for another...wtf...ugh.
Do you add sugar, make it with the listed water amount or concentrate it?

I was going to try melatonin but hey I could give the whole colony raspberry tea and I wouldn't have to pay attention to who is drinking it. How many bags do you add to a 5 gallon waterer? They just started getting acv right now because 3 of my does have not been interested and the other 2 should be popping out kits. The small breed rabbits are having better luck although I think Amako may have missed despite humping the poor buck till I thought she'd crush him and flagging her tail so high he couldn't get on. He bred her 3 times at least but he might have missed with her splayed out that much so he had to angle weird to reach.

Let's have a tea party!

I can't wait to try it. Who's bringing the cucumber sandwiches? We'll need crumpets too...

I turned on a heater in my rabbitry for some new born babies the next day all the does were more than willing.

It hasn't really gotten cold here so there's no warming to do. I had them breed through subzero temps last year and this year we hit 0 a few times and otherwise it was 40-50 in Dec and it's 50-60 (66 actually 2 days ago) the past few days. We just had one dip to 20F about a week ago with some snow which is nearly gone again.
