To breed or no?

Is it OK to breed a meat rabbit at 21 weeks old? When I was checking her over, I noticed she's pink-purple and lifts when I poke at her tail. Breeding her this young wouldn't hurt her, would it?

Lots of people breed meat rabbits at that age... just over five months. Rabbits mature at different paces, same as people... and it sounds like she is ready.

OneAcreFarm breeds her rabbits as soon as they show signs of readiness. She has found that with her lines they make better mothers if started early.

Well, I put her in with Possy. She was humping his face before she had all four paws on the floor! lol Poor Possy wasn't sure what to think of that, but they figured it out quick. :lol:
