Is there a difference between timothy hay and timothy grass? If so what makes the difference? :?:
I'm getting very low on my 2 string bale of timothy hay I bought almost 2 years ago. I now have 5+ rabbits instead of the 2 I had last year, so it's going down faster. ;) I called the lady I got my hay from before and she now is in the alfalfa year so I'm stuck. I loved the quality of her hay...
I really don't want to use alfalfa though....I tried it before with bad results.

 Wait....so timothy grass is fresh???

Yes, but the labelling on packages of timothy hay may say timothy grass hay, meaning hay made from timothy grass. All hay starts with the living plants and is cut and dried for later use.

:slap: I feel so stupid right now.
No need to feel stupid! Hay isn't hay until it's dry1 We don't know until we ask or we learn it some other way!
Hope your bunnies are doing well.
BTW, is orchard grass/hay good for rabbits?
