The first batch of buns is out of the oven!!! :mbounce:
First time mom, at least six wigglers, all alive and wiggling
I haven't done a complete nest invasion yet but felt around gently and didn't find any sign of dead kits. Very happy with how she did for her first litter, got all of them in the nest box, if not the nest proper, and doesn't seem to have had any problems at all!
Here's a couple pictures, just cause I can't resist. To everyone who takes nice pictures...I'm sorry hehe
Five wigglers and at least one out of sight in the fur. Later in the day I moved them all to the fur. She's a gentle bunnymom and didn't object at all, just hoped in briefly after I was done to check things over.
She must be a last minute fur puller; there was no sign of this just a few hours earlier! At least one other baby in there wiggling around, probably looking for everyone else
A very encouraging first kindling experience. Here's hoping the next two go just as smoothly!
