well, I have some rabbit safe 'weeds' transplanted into an old pet rabbit cage bottom-- I Love repurposing! I added some Red Clover today

The container gardening for the rabbit safe plants serves multiple purposes--

1) Keeps a small amount right at hand--
2) If someone else is caring for the rabbits (like when I have surgery) that person has live samples of fresh food they can forage
3) I can 'label' each plant with Common and Scientific names (something I wanted to do for educational purposes on my future farm, as well)

Now, yesterday, I spent 11 dollars on various garden seeds,== vegetables and herbs- and each of those will go into containers, as well Imay not yet have a 'real' garden, but at least I have a portable one! Just think, folks, take some portable fresh greens to a show- let everyone see how you dote on your award winning rabbits! We can grow more than bunnies in our buckets!!!

I have one of these in my room i never use. I might give it a try. I have never seen anything useful on Clevelands freecycle.

Oh yeah, vertical gardening can be nice, IF you have a wall you can do that with-- but rental property poses problems for many people. However, I did see a YouTube thing on using pallets, and thought, "gee, two pallets would make a nice A-Frame..." And I just may consider that idea as viable!
