Hello everyone, new poster.

One of my six month old Californians, Sprinkle, lost her tail about a month ago. I had it treated, and the poor thing seemed to return to normal, at least until now. Her twin sister, Princess Lady, just started showing signs of maturity - red vent, not growling so much at my buck - but Sprinkle is still showing no signs of being ready to breed.

I know that no two rabbits are alike as to when they're ready to start, but I just wanted to make sure - she's still able to breed even if she's lost her tail, right?

Welcome :)

I wouldn't know why not. If the tail were mishappen and standing off in an odd angle, I imagine that could be a problem. I don't think the buck needs that clue to find the spot.

Only one way to find out :).
