Table top

Made a yellow pine table top,
"wrapped, and aged" the planks to make them "blue",
I love "blued" pine..
Dove,[my wife] and Tia, [ my daughter] think it looks "moldy" ...
-- other opinions???

it does not look moldy but it does look old :) :) :) good job

Strange, I had posted a reply on this earlier today, but its apparently gone.

Anyhow, I think this is gorgeous- I love to see the different effects wood can take on!

I think that's called 'spalting', I have some wood turner friends who age their Norfolk Island pine in order to get it to have that effect. The other thing they do with it is soak it in some sort of oil to become translucent when it's turned thin, but I don't think that would work with your table top.

Lovely table, what finish did you use on it? It almost looks like shellac?
