I have a small problem Must swap a doe with her kits from her cage to a new cage the new cage is occupied now by a doe without kits.

Will this make trouble for the doe with kits?
Cage A is a doe without kits
Cage B is a cage with a doe and her kits

Doe in cage b needs to move to cage A Will this make trouble?

Her kits have not come out of their nesting box yet either, if that makes a difference

I'm not the correct person to answer this but imo, Clean the does cage with out the kits - take it out bleach it let dry (doe not being in it lol), use torch on it (sterilize it). Then put the doe with kits in it, same with the other. Then you lessen the chance of any thing going bad. It's what I would do tbh.

Just my thoughts:

Move single doe into temp quarters - completely clean and sterilize that pen.
Move doe with kits into clean pen. Having kits still in the nest box is a plus.
Clean and sterilize the pen the doe and kits were in.
Move the single to into that newly clean pen.
Take the rest of the day off.

We're lucky here today - temps will be in the upper 50's. Tomorrow in the lower 60's.
Since I like to use a power washer to clean out pens, being able to work outside is
an important part of all of that. I usually torch the pen before I power wash it. And then
I let it sit in the sun at least until it's dry.

If you can't do all water outside stuff, then at the least, brush and scrape everything out
of the pen and then spray the pen with rubbing alcohol (I use a hand-held spray bottle)
and let it dry for an hour or so before moving the rabbit(s) into it.

Hope that helps.

Some does could care less about the scent of another so it really depends on your rabbits unique personality

if you think she'll be a pill about it a good cleaning will help and putting the doe in by herself for 6+ hours and adding the nest box later will let her get use to the new space and prevent her from taking her frustrations out on her babies or accidentaly trampling them from nervousness.
