Stillborn. How soon to rebreed?

One of my Cali does had a litter of 6 stillborns today. She never pulled any fur and had them on the wire. Shame, since they were NZW and Cali mixes. It was her first litter and she's 10 months old.

How soon can I rebreed her? She seems to be in good shape and even let me pet her without freaking out too much.

Yes, she should be most receptive the first couple of days. Also, rebreeding immediately will help dry her back up.

<edit> Yes! She was receptive and he covered her twice in fairly rapid succession. I'll put her back in there in a few hours for the second round.

I guess her timing was a tad off. She pulled her fur and made a makeshift nest on the wire after the stillborns were removed. I had already closed the empty nesting room. Maybe she'll get the sequence right next time. </edit>

Aw, poor girl. You can save the fur she pulled, in case you need some for a future litter.
