I've had one other personal experience, rabbit was too far gone to save. Aunt's pet I'm sitting I found on side, he's older so figured old age. Brought him inside, called aunt and gave bad news. Checked on him and found dehydrated so thought that try fluids and yogurt. He was still very warm so thoroughly checked over, found tail and testicles covered in redtiny maggots. I found one white maggot as well but that was it. I rinsed didn't seem like getting any where so rinsed with peroxide/fly spray, rinsed another 10 minutes waited and rinsed again until I could see none. I doubt that's all of them though. Suggestions? What kind of maggots do these sound like? I couldn't get any kind of picture, just too tiny. Still offering yogurt/fluids, he's raising his head a bit now but still worried. He's still too warm to the the touch for normal. Vet is not an option being his age and the trip 4 hours away would probably kill from stress, he's only been with me and her since she got him. Thanks for ideas/help.

-- Sun Aug 10, 2014 8:38 am --

So update. Seems got all cleaned out but there seems yo be an infection, smells and puss on one area genitals.
