Initially I thought they were blue, but I don't think either is. They're both darker at the ears, around the muzzle and on feet. The darker kit has scattered lighter hairs, like a roan horse. The doe is a Japanese harlequin, the dad is blue. They've produced chestnut, black, blue, opal, harlequin and blue harlequin before.

I'll have to leave the color names to the show breeders (as a former art teacher, the best I can do is tell you how to get those colors from paint, LOL), but those sure are some cute tribbles, er, I mean baby rabbits!

the lighter is the smoke pearl? Jeez, these guys are just a riot of colours!

Thanks, DLL. I'm almost tempted to keep both, now that Riddle's going to a new home tomorrow... If they're both does, they might end up staying and replacing Lily.

You can see my coveted VM on these two... Snip on the smoke pearl's nose, white toes on the siamese sable. Feel bad for the harlequins, because they're not nearly as photographed.

I wonder if it's the buck or doe who has the chl gene.

How bad is it that I want to keep both and breed them together? They're both so cute!!!

From my initial guesses, they're buck(smoke pearl) and doe(siamese sable)... But I could very well be wrong, lol.

Perfectly normal and acceptable.

Just think... you'll be doubling up on the much sought after Vienna gene. :p

Well, I was thinking about the cchl gene getting doubled up. The vienna gene x 2 is BEW, isn't it? Because if it isn't, then I am totally screwed for what my goal is, LOL.

Jeez, reading more about genetics, and this silly C gene... My head hurts.
