I am trying to get an idea what to look for in my NZWs as I start more breeding/culling rounds (we are raising them primarily for a family food source, but I still don't want crummy rabbits). I know what I currently have aren't great, but I don't know what I need to look for to make the herd better. I learned about pinched hips thanks to another thread... so I guess any pictures - good or bad - with some notes pointing out the flaws or the perks in each rabbit. Or maybe there is a site that already has this? I plan on getting the SOP book, but for now I am hoping to start studying pics. I can read until my eyes are crossed... until I see it for myself I just don't think I will fully understand the explanations of what to look for and/or avoid. I'm hoping to get some good mental images of body structure so I can look at mine in a different light. I don't know anyone else IRL to ask for advice, and the next show isn't until spring. The one breeder listed at ARBA that's near me is where I got a few of my rabbits and that's pretty much all he does - breeds rabbits. He knows nothing about what to look for in them (or at least that's what he told me). I actually found him to be a bit oblivious about some illnesses he had going on so I really hesitate to ask his opinion on things.
