I am at the starting line with a breeding project I have started.

Rex coated New Zealands.

I THOUGHT I had two standard rex as well as my NZs to work with but having picked up two actual mini rex does it seems my standards are just a bit larger than usual mini's.

So I am a bit worried about putting a NZ buck to mini does as the babies might be too big for them.

What do you guys recon, use the mini's with the risk of loosing them or sell/trade them for a buck or two?

Sell trade. I wouldn't risk it, unless it's a big mini. I lost my new mini doe the beginning of this month, five stuck kits. Horrible thing.

I would trade them out for bucks. It's a win-win, whereas if you breed them and they both die, it's a lose-lose.

You might keep one of the does and breed rex to rex also- if they are minis they might be good for the pet market or 4-H kids. Plus, you can eat them too! :)
