'Cause he just told me this morning, "no more pets."
And...well...as of this morning, I have regrets. :p 23 little wiggling regrets.
I bred ALL THE DOES because I was tired of misses and hoped one took...

And then of course 31 days later ALL THE DOES kindled within an hour of eachother. One is an 8 m/o first-timer and 2 are on their 2nd litters and haven't kindled in a year. After so many fails, my hopes were not high.

Way to go, ladies. :| Defy the odds why don'tcha. Now I have 23 babies when I hoped for 10 at most. That backfired on me. That so, so backfired.

Fiver kindled 9 kits. AngoraXArgent to a full sibling...hoping for some silvered longhair pelts out of her. I was hoping for mostly blacks but she had other ideas I guess. So far her blood has a history of deformities, so I ought to check over those kits real good... :?

Autumn gave me 8. One looks like an interestingly dark chocolate.

And last but not least, Elvira gave 6. And apperantly has the chocolate gene. That would've been nice to tell me a year ago, Elvira.

Wow! That's a lot of kits! Rabbits seem to have a habit of doing the opposite of what you want. EVERY TIME. :p
They are super cute though! :bunnyhop:
Have fun with them!

Woohoo congrats!!!

That is exactly what happened when we first started with rabbits. All my does were first timers, and I was SO wanting kits, but no one would take. So I took ALL 4 for my does to the bucks, and whelp... 31 days later. 33 babies!

where would I be without memes :p

You are lucky that baby bunnies are pretty quiet, it may take a while for him to know! But it will be difficult to hide 23 of them, lol......congrats on an eventful day!

Ha, I did that all this winter to. I bred two at a time and NOTHING... Finally got one litter this month.
I was tempted to breed all four of them but I just know the fertility fairy would hit all at once.
So,, I am not going to breed more than two at once after reading your post.
I don't breed primarily for meat, and my first litter had two keepers and the others sold fast.
I doubt I will always be that lucky, and sooner or later I will eat my leftovers.
